The tourist capital of the Costa Brava

Places you can't miss!

Lloret de Mar is a modern city that has managed to preserve its historical, natural and cultural heritage, and that offers dynamism and activity throughout the year. A welcoming town, known internationally as one of the main tourist destinations in the Mediterranean. Today, Lloret de Mar offers visitors a city to enjoy all year round. We invite you to experience Lloret first-hand, to stroll along its pleasant beaches and natural landscapes, to explore its ancient history, to discover ancestral traditions and a culture in the broadest sense, to try its suggestive cuisine, to practice all kinds of sports and to open all your senses. Because Lloret is more than you thought.

Lloret has emblematic spaces, such as the Santa Clotilde Gardens (gardens next to the sea for a peaceful stroll), the Museum of the Sea (to learn about Lloret's seafaring history), and the Indiano and modernist legacy, with such special buildings as the church of Sant Romà or Sant Pere del Bosc.

  • Santa Clotilde Gardens: The Santa Clotilde Gardens are located in a very beautiful area. This wonderful garden was planted on a cliff with impressive views over the sea, a true example of the spirit that shaped the Noucentista movement in Catalonia, of which Eugeni d'Ors was a brilliant spokesman.
  • Museum of the Sea - Can Garriga: Visitors to the Museum of the Sea are immersed in a true journey through the history of Lloret and its close connection with the sea. This house is a present witness to the footprints of the Indianos - those who were to make their fortune in the Americas.
  • Chapels and churches: Lloret has several chapels and churches, such as the Chapel of Santa Cristina, where you can find an exhibition of miniature boats offered by sailors and fishermen to the saint. The annual Fiesta Mayor de Santa Cristina (24 July) is held in this chapel every year.
  • Shopping: Lloret de Mar's commerce, with a thousand commercial establishments, is the second economic engine of the town. Lloret's commercial offer is wide and diverse, and all kinds of articles and products can be found. Throughout the year, activities and trade fairs are held, such as the street shops or the Medieval Fair, among others.
